Where Things Stand

Honestly: Not Yet

The academy opened in August 2026 with classes for adults. The kids program is the next thing we build, and it is waiting on one thing: the right coach. We are not willing to put children on a mat with someone we settled for, so we are taking the time to find someone genuinely good with them.

That is the whole delay. The mat is here, the curriculum is written, the schedule slot is held. Until the coach is signed there is no start date we could give you that we would be confident in, and a date we are not confident in is worse than none.

The waitlist is how you hear the moment that changes. No newsletter, no drip campaign: one message when there is something real to say.

What The Waitlist Gets You

First, And Without Chasing

  • You hear before it is announced on Instagram, on Google, or anywhere else.
  • First choice of the opening times, which matters most for the after-school slots.
  • A place held for your child in the first group, which will be small on purpose.
  • No obligation of any kind. The list is a way to be told, not a commitment to enrol.

Prices are not published for a program that has not launched. We will confirm them with the start date.

The Plan

What The Program Will Be

01

Movement Before Technique

Coordination, balance, falling safely, getting up again. The physical literacy underneath the martial art, taught in a way that looks like play because at that age it should.

02

Anti-Bullying, Practically

BJJ is the martial art that lets a smaller person control a larger one without hurting them. That is exactly the skill a bullied child needs, and it is why we teach control and de-escalation long before anything resembling a fight.

03

No Early Competition Pressure

Competing is a choice a child makes later, if they want it. Nobody is pushed onto a podium track, and nobody is treated as less committed for staying off it.

04

Parents Welcome To Watch

Any class, any time, no appointment. You do not have to hand your child over to a room you cannot see into, and we would think less of a gym that asked you to.

05

Ages 5 To 15, Grouped Properly

A six-year-old and a fourteen-year-old do not train together. How the groups split depends on who is actually on the list, which is one of the reasons we ask for your child's age.

06

The Same Standards As The Adults

Written Code of Conduct, a published infraction system, and a coach who is accountable to both. The rules that protect our adult members were written to protect children too.

One Child Per Entry

More than one child? Send the form once per child, so we can group them by age properly.

Your Child's Data

What We Ask For, And Why

This is a list about children, so it holds as little about them as it possibly can. In full, what we store is:

  • Your name, email, and phone number if you gave one. So we can reach you.
  • Your child's first name and age. Nothing else about them: no surname, no date of birth, no school, no address, no photograph.
  • Whatever you typed in the notes box, and which page you arrived from.

The age is an age, not a birthday, because we need to group a class and nothing more. We do not sell or share any of it, and asking us to delete your entry takes one email and no explanation.

Know Someone?

We Are Looking For A Kids' Coach

The people reading this page are the people most likely to know the right person: a patient, qualified coach with a BJJ or grappling background who is genuinely good with children. If someone came to mind while you were reading, we would like to hear from them.
