What You'll Learn

The Bedrock Of BJJ

Foundation Gi is where every journey begins at Imperial Ground. Over a one-year cycle, you'll move through a structured curriculum covering positional hierarchy (mount, side control, back, guard), the fundamental submissions (armbars, chokes, kimuras), and the escapes that keep you safe when things go wrong.

You don't need to be athletic. You don't need to be young. You don't need to have done martial arts before. What you do need is a willingness to fall, stand up, and try again — Jiu-Jitsu rewards consistency, not ego.

Comfort Basics

Shorts and a rashguard/t-shirt under the gi for hygiene. Flip-flops for walking to the mats. A water bottle.

An Open Mind

You'll be a beginner again, and that's the point. Leave the ego at the door. Oss.
