What You'll Learn

Technique Over Strength

BJJ was built so that smaller people can control and defeat larger, stronger attackers. That premise makes it the most effective martial art for women — but only if it's taught in an environment where you actually feel safe to train hard, ask questions, and roll.

Our Women's Only class is that environment. Fundamentals-first curriculum, mixed experience levels, women-led coaching, no pressure to spar before you're ready. You'll build a complete toolkit: positional awareness, escapes from the worst positions, sweeps, and submissions — all with a self-defense through-line.

What To Bring

Training Clothes

Leggings and a fitted athletic top work perfectly for your trial. When you commit, you'll pick gi or no-gi gear — we'll guide you.

Water & Hair Tie

Hydrate throughout. Tie long hair back — loose hair gets tangled in grips and sleeves.

Questions

Bring them all. Nothing is too basic. We'd rather answer 20 questions than have you leave unsure.

Our Commitment

A Space That's Actually Safe

"Safe" is a word many gyms use. Here's what it means to us, in practice:

  • Zero tolerance for aggressive or inappropriate behavior — enforced by written Code of Conduct and Infraction System.
  • Women-only means women-only. No men on the mat during this class, no exceptions.
  • Private changing area with lockers.
  • You decide when you roll, with whom, and how hard. Always.
  • Your first conversation is with the Women's Lead Coach, not the front desk.
